John Wick Is Back And his Legend Continues!

Good day my friends , hope you have are all doing good!.. Yes, I know it has been a little while since I did my last review!.. In fact it has been a little over a month since I have given you a movie review. There were some other projects I have had going on that I needed to focus my entire attention too, and while there have been movies released over that span of time, I did have other things going on to work on like I just said. You know me though, I tend to take these little breaks to either work on other projects or interests that I have and to also just take a little break to re-focus my mind and recharge! Take comfort in knowing that I am back and ready to go! Back to give you some new movie reviews, like an unstoppable forces I am hard to keep away and do not give up so easily!... I may seem gone, but in a flash I return and surprise you, saving the day and giving you a great movie review. In the movies that is how the hero always wins, because of their unrelenting drive, their consistency to succeed, just when you think they are down and the odds are against them, BAM!!!...They return and save the day!.. In business and life in general it is the ones that keep trying, that yes will have to take a break or two and re-focus that in the end find the success that they earn from their efforts!... Now you know who else is back as well?.. If you said John Wick, then you are totally right!.... The past two times that John Wick graced us with his presence, brandishing his own style of justice it was in February... Now this time he returns for the third chapter in the heart of summer movie season, May! Keanu Reeves (The Matrix) returns as John Wick along with Halle Berry (Monster's Ball) as Sofia, Lawrence Fishburne (The Matrix) as the Bowery King and Ian McShane (We Are Marshall) as Winston. Now let us continue the tale of this master assassin and see  if he shoot as straight as he has the previous two times, or does he miss!

Leaving off were we last left John Wick (Reeves) he had been deemed excommunicado by Winston (McShane) the manager of The Continental hotel. But instead of being executed right away as per the rules by the High Table for this crime. John is given a one hour grace period and all services are cut off to him, his membership revoked and cut off from other members. With time running out before the the massive $14 million dollar price tag is put on his head for his crime, John goes on the on the defensive to find a way to out of the predicament he is in. As the clock runs out and John becomes excommunicado, every assassin in New York is on his tail trying to cash in on the huge payday. But in usual John Wick fashion he fights them off, proving that he is going to be very difficult to kill! He knows that he needs to find a way to get off this list and uses a ticket of passage that is in the form of a rosary, from an former employer known as The Director ( Angelica Huston) to get out of New York and to Casablanca. In Casablanca John, still must be wary of assassins wanting to cash in on the price tag on his head. But, he is not there to hunt down assassins!.. No, he is there to cash in on a debt from a former assassin and now manager of The Continental hotel there Sofia (Berry) who is not so happy to see John but does agree to help him to settle her debt to him. John wants her to get him in touch with a High Table man known as Berrada (Jerome Flynn), John hopes Berrada can get him a meeting with the The Elder, the person who sits at the very top of the High Table, who is the only one one who can re-instate John. John is told that there is no way to find him, that The Elder finds you. That he has to walk through the desert until he can no longer walk no more until his feet give out, and that it is there that The Elder may or may not find him and then speak with John. What seems like a pretty cut and dry meeting turns into a shoot out when Berrada decides to shoot one of Sofia's dog's as payment and punishment for meeting with John and a big shootout ensues. After the bullets have stopped flying Sofia drops John off in the desert where her debt is fulfilled and John begins his journey to find The Elder. Back in New York, the High Table has sent The Adjudicator ( Asia Kate Dillon) to deal assess the situation from John's actions and to fix have those who helped him taken care of! One of those being Winston, who has been removed as manager of The Continental and will be eliminated for giving John an hour's grace period instead of having him terminated permanently! John eventually finds The Elder and he gives John the choice of pledging permanent fealty to the High Table, spending the rest of his life killing for them or refuse, staying excommunicado and being killed. John choses to pledge his loyalty and has to pay a small price to prove his loyalty. But after he does he is told that for him to be reinstated he has to kill his friend Winston. Agreeing, John goes back to New York to full fill his pledge. Once there Winston places a offer to him, to kill him and be a slave to the High Table forever or not and be free, to die honourably to help defend his friend. Choosing to not kill Winston, John and the staff at The Continental take on the large team of assassins. Will they succeed and will John's decision to fight for himself and friendship prove to be successful or will he go down in a garage of bullets?

Well what did you think of that?... I know, I might have given away too much of the movie and said spoiler alert in my synopsis, but hey, sometimes I do that!... That being said I have to say that for a movie tat is on it's third instalment it was pretty damn good!!!! Usually when a movie gets to it's third sequel it starts to lose that originality that drew people to it in the first place! The script was well written and they managed to keep it fresh and original while still finding a way to continue the story. There was tons of great action that kept you glued to your seats and got your adrenaline running. The acting was great as it was in the first two movies and Reeves does a great job in bringing his tortured soul character to life. And all the supporting actors play well of each other and off the lead as well. That being said the characters were well written and added a whole new dimension to this ever expanding universe created. All in all this movie was on par with the original but added that touch of something more that seemed to do what very few sequels could do and that is surpass the original but not by much! It was well with the wait and definitely deserved a summer movie release slot! Now what do I give this movie you ask? Well, I will be giving John Wick 3:Parabellum  a 8.3 on the Justin Scale of Movies as it shook the ground after Avengers:Endgame opened up big shaking the ground of the cinema universe this summer movie season, with plenty of aftershocks!.. Believe me though this movie was more then just another small quake it took top spot shaking the ground too without remorse, leaving movies fans satisfied! This puts John Wick 3:Parabellum on the Pick-It List of movies to see in the theatre, another fine pick for your viewing pleasure! That is about all I have to say on this movie and it is time to call it a wrap on this latest movie review!... Until next time, keep the popcorn freshly popped and remember to save me a good seat because I will be seeing you again at the movies!
