It All Led Up To This With Avengers:Endgame

Good day my friends, well it seems that every year the summer movie season starts sooner and sooner with the first big blockbuster to hit the theatres. It used to be the first weekend in May that we would see that start. But, over the past couple of years the summer movie season has started at the end of April to be able to be released worldwide on the same day. That is because the juggernaut known as the MCU and Disney Studios have released the final two Avengers movies in the infinity stones story arc. This journey started 11years ago with the release of the hugely successful Ironman, a movie that propelled Robert Downey Jr. into superstardom, reviving his career after getting help for a drug and alcohol problem which also brought along some legal troubles as well. He got the help he needed, made a few movies that got him back on the studios radar, but it was becoming the spark that lit the fire to a movie franchise that has made billions of dollars worldwide and garnered tons of loyal fans anxiously awaiting the next Marvel movie adventure. It spawned off 22 movies bringing us all these superheroes to life as we not only saw them battle their adversaries but also their own personal struggles. These movies have become a staple of society and part of peoples lives chatting about it from their homes, the gym, over the phone, online and at work. Over the past 11 years, 3 phases and 22 films we have all had our own favourites and I remember personally back in 2012 when I first saw the very first Avengers movie, that marked the end of the first phase, just how cool it was to have such a grand spectacle of movie with so many heroes in it that had a nice mix of humour, drama and action. And when the cliffhanger of Thanos in the mid credit scene left me anxious to see how this would all play out. And boy when you went to the theatre you knew to wait around for the mid and send credit scene as a sneak preview for the next upcoming Marvel movie. Over the next 11 years we would see sequels and some new characters introduced with some big name actors and actresses signing on to to either play the hero or the villain. But every beginning has an end and the 11 year infinity stones saga has come to a head this year to kick off the summer movie season already breaking box office records and looks to take the top spot as the most successful movie. Now I know we are all sad to see this all end but like I said earlier, every beginning has its end and while we have all enjoyed the ride, no fear this may be the end  of this story arc and phase 3 but Marvel will have a new story arc in the works and more movies from heroes such as Spiderman: Far From Home later this summer an the third Guardians Of The Galaxy in 2022. But as we are all full of emotion to see what happens after last summers cliffhanger at the end of Infinity War when Thanos wiped out half of life in the universe which included some of our heroes and are sad to see the ending to the 11 year, 22 film journey that has become part of cinema history we will still be witness to more great movies from Disney and Marvel Studios. So as you all know I usually lie to do a fairly detailed plot synopsis when I do my movie reviews but I am going to give you a shorter one this time to not reveal any spoilers, so those who haven't seen the movie can enjoy it without it being ruined.  Now without further ado let us look at how it all ends in Avengers:Endgame.

Thanos has won!... The Avengers have suffered their greatest defeat, with the power of the Infinity Stones, Thanos acquired in Avengers:Infinity War he succeeded in wiping out half of life, which included some of their friends, in the universe and retreated to his hidden sanctuary. The remaining Avengers are still struggling with their failure and mourning the loss of those they loved. Tony(Robert Downey Jr.) is floating around in space on a broken ship with Nebula(Karen Gillan) near death. Their salvation comes in the form of Captain Marvel(Brie Larson) who rescues them and brings them home. Broken and distraught the remaining Avengers that include Captain America(Chris Evans),Rocket(Bradley Cooper), War Machine(Don Cheadle), Black Widow(Scarlett Johansson), Antman(Paul Rudd), the Incredible Hulk(Mark Ruffalo), Hawkeye/Ronin(Jeremy Renner) and Thor(Chris Hemsworth), struggle to get through life over the next 5 years trying their best to move on knowing that there is no way to undo what Thanos did. But when a slim chance of undoing the damage that Thanos did is presented to them the remaining Avengers assemble to try and restore order to the universe and bring back the friends that they lost.

Now I know I gave you a short not very detailed synopsis, but I like I said, I don't want to ruin the movie for others and I think I did a pretty good job there to give you a taste but not giving away too much. Now if you have seen the movie like I did, then you probably want to see it again! Yes, this movie was that good that you want to see it again almost immediately after seeing it. Once you see this movie you can se why they ask you not to reveal any spoilers to others and ruin it! What they made here was not just another superhero movie, but an epic movie filled with drama, comedy, action, thrills and chills. The 3 hr story was so fantastically written here, filled with tons of emotion and great character development. The characters were just not one dimensional, they were well rounded and perfectly developed as to how they dealt with the catastrophic events and are trying to move on. You had a nice build up to pull you in, a solid middle to build up the story to its eventual, fantastic climax and the beautifully done ending that I will say will leave you speechless. The actors involved in this grand finale to the infinity stones story arc over the past 11 years gave us great performances overall and this movie will be on that is remembered in the pantheon of movie history. I was going in expecting certain things in this movie and while some of my theories were right, there was so much more that I didn't expect! I was left was left in awe by this movie and I don't often say that my friends. From beginning to end Avengers:Endgame was a fantastic, on of a kind movie that you have to see to believe. Marvel and Disney along with all those involved in making it rewarded fans with a slam bang, heartfelt ending. That is why I am giving it a 9.5 on the Justin Scale Of Movies and putting it on my Pick-It List Of Movies to see in the theatres. This is one you need to see in the theatres, don't you dare to download it illegally!!! Lots of people put in tons of hard work to make this and other motion pictures and I know a lot of people will be mad at me for saying that and say its their right to and they are not hurting anyone but the big, rich movie studios. But you are hurting those names we don't see in the credits because we all walk out before the credits are done by doing that. It is a crime and also a slap in the face to those who put in that hard work. That being said I can't wait to go and see it again and while there probably won't be another movie review this week. There will be another one down the road in a short bit. So, until then this is a wrap! Remember to please save me a good seat and keep that popcorn fresh, because I will be seeing you again at the movies!
