Searching Is A Hell Of A Find!

Good day my friends! Hope you are all enjoying the first few days of September and you all had a nice Labour Day weekend! For me it always seems that the labour Day weekend is the unofficial end of summer. Kids are back in school, the leaves are starting to change colour already and some have even fallen off the trees. And in some cases the weather has even gotten cooler making it feel like summer has left leaving us wondering where did the season go? In a few weeks it will officially be fall and we will be looking to recapture those beautiful summer days that we miss. We look for that feeling to try and keep it all throughout the year! In this month too the summer movie season seems to be slowing down and coming to a close soon. There are still some great movies out there to see in the theatre, but like anything good you have to search for them and ask around. That my friends is what I am here for! To find those great movies for you to check out and the ones to avoid. So this week I am bringing you the review on the new mystery/thriller/drama to hit theatres this past week titled Searching. The movie stars John Cho( Harold And Kumar Go To White Castle) as David Kim and Debra Messing(Will & Grace) as Detective Vick. Time to sit back and read to find out what this movie is about and what I thought.

Told through the technology we use to communicate everyday,David Kim(Cho) had it all a beautiful wife, a great job and smart, beautiful and talented daughter. He and his wife saved all the best moments of their daughter Margot's life on their computer whether it be pictures or video. Than one day David's wife is diagnosed with cancer. It goes into remission but eventually returns and Davids wife Pam dies leaving David to raise their teenage daughter on his own. He is a very caring and concerned father taking time to text or video chat with her. But one night after leaving a study session at a friends house Margot disappears without a trace. A local investigation is opened and assigned to Detective Vick(Messing) a parent herself and respected member of the police force. She encourages David to help them out by searching through his daughters things and social media accounts to find out anything that could give them some clues to what might have happened to her. David unable to access Margot's accounts on his own laptop, uses his daughters and starts searching for clues through her social media accounts and asking the people who are her friends on there. As every clue seems to be a dead end and now a massive state wide search for Margot with himself now in the public eye with no leads to find his daughter. A stressed and determined David continues to search for clues to find his daughter alive and bring her home.

So what do think? Does it sound interesting to you? Hmmmm! not convinced yet are you? Lets take a  closer look at the movie and than maybe you will have made your final decision. This was a fantastic script firstly! The story was well written and put together from beginning to end. It grabbed you from the start and kept your interest all the way through to the shocking climax. John Cho and Debra Messing did a fantastic job really making us connect with their characters. They both put in such believably great performances. This movie was uniquely filmed as well told through video chat footage, online news footage, text, family videos, computer screens and websites. You wouldn't think that would work but it was pulled off masterfully and told this story perfectly. It was nothing lie I have ever seen before. That is why I am giving the movie Saerching a 7.9 on The Justin Scale Of Movies and placing it on my Pick-It List of movies to see at the theatres. It is a must see especially if you are looking for a great thriller/mystery to watch. That is a wrap for me here on my latest movie view my friends. Until next time... remember to keep that popcorn freshly popped and save me a good seat because I will be seeing you again at the movies!!
