A Journey Into Wind River

Good day my friends hope you are all doing well! Apologies for there being no review last week. I was going out of town on the long weekend and was busy organizing that. That being said we are almost at the end of summer movie season here and while August wasn't an overly stellar month for movies this past year but there were some good ones that I managed to find. The news had said that the box office for numbers for August were the lowest they had seen in a long time. But with the month of September upon us there are some that do look really good and hopefully they are as I search for the best movies for you to see. And this week I went out and took a look at a movie that is getting critical acclaim. It is a little know movie that was released last weekend called Wind River and it stars Jeremy Renner( The Avengers) as Cory Lambert and Elizabeth Olsen ( Avenger:Age of Ultron) as Jane Banner. So let us take a seat and see what this movie is all about and how I found it.

Out in Wyoming game tracker and wildlife officer Cory Lambert has just picked up his son from his ex-wifes for the weekend. Having to go out to the Native American reservation of Wind River to to track a mountain lion that attacked some cattle that belonged to his ex-father-inlaw he takes his son with him. While tracking down the lion he stumbles upon the frozen body of a young Native American girl named Nathalie that was a friend of his late daughter miles away from home. An FBI agent by the name of Jane Banner is sent to help determine if it was a murder. It is determined that the young woman was raped and ran out into the snow and died when her lungs froze from exposure to the cold temperature. Wanting to classify this a murder the way she died cannot be used as a classification for a murder investigation. Determined to find out what happened to the young woman Jane Banner teams with Cory Lambert to help her investigate what happened and find those responsible.

So it seems these days I know how to pick good movies to see! This movie was exceptionally written , directed and performed by this involved. The story was both emotional and engaging at the same time, it kept you glued to the screen from the start and didn't let go. Very rarely do you find a movie with a trifecta like that but this movie had it. The bleak wintery setting helped set the tone for the movie. Really I have not a bad thing to say about this movie. I am going to give it a 8.2 on The Justin Scale Of Movies and putting it on my Pick-It list of movies to see in the theatres right now. There you have it my friends! That is a wrap for this latest movie review, hope it helps you make a decision about what to see at the theatre this week. Until next time keep that popcorn freshly popped, save me a good seat and I will see you at the movies.
