It has been a little while since we last saw Caesar and the rest of the apes since the last movie as they now deal with the repercussions from when Koba attacked the humans. Which has started a battle between the last military force left on the planet and the apes just trying fighting for their right to survive. Siding with the a extreme military unit known as Alpha Omega are apes that sided with Koba in his attack on the humans. Leading this unit is a man simply known as The Colonel who intends on wiping out all the apes. But also killing any human who has survived the man made epidemic known as the simian flu which has now mutated and when contracted humans start to un-evolve becoming speechless and primitive. Having defeated the Alpha Omega in their most recent battle Caesar and his apes return to their hidden base and prepare to venture out to a new home that they had found. But after being betrayed by one of his own apes their secret base is attacked by The Colonel and his men killing Caesars one son and wife. Determined for revenge Caesar sends his surviving son with the rest of the apes to their new home while he a few other apes set out to find The Colonel and his men. Along the way Caesar and his small group of apes find a human girl who had contracted the new strain of the simian flu and take her along with them on their journey. They also find an ape who is not known to any of them that can talk like them and calls himself Bad Ape who knows where The Colonel's base is. Having found it Caesar finds that his apes including his surviving son have been captured by the Alpha Omega. Still determined for revenge he sets out by himself to the base but is captured and finds out why The Colonel has kept the apes and himself alive. So with the help of the small group of apes that were with him and the human girl, Caesar escapes and frees his apes and goes for a final confrontation with The Colonel with the future of who will control the planet hanging in the balance.
Now that sounds like a really awesome movie doesn't it? Well if you haven't seen it and have read many reviews on it, including this one I can most certainly tell you that this movie was indeed an awesome one. It had all the right elements that made a great movie in it. It had a fantastic story from beginning to end which kept you glued to the screen. It grabbed hold of you and didn't let go! it was well performed by the actors involved especially by actor Andy Serkis who has become quite excellent and brining to life some unique characters most notably Gollum and in this movie the ape Caesar. this movie had a nice mix of drama and action. It made you think, laugh and cry. A triple threat of a movie which can be hard to do. With so much content out there to watch on line and in the theatres it is a treat when you can find a movie like this. I have to say I loved this movie and from why I read are making one more movie which will from what I hear a remake of the original Planet Of The Apes. If it is anything like any of the movies from this series than I look forward to seeing it when it comes out. With that being said I give this movie a 8.4 on The Justin Scale Of Movies and put it on my Pick-It list of movies to see in the theatre. Well that is wrap here my friends for my latest review. until next time. Keep that popcorn freshly popped, save me a good seat and I will see you next time at the movies.
