Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice, Let The Battle Begin

Good day to you all my friends and Happy Easter! No I didn't forget about you in fact I was waiting for today to do my review because I was going to the advanced showing of the movie that we are looking at this week. While lately it seems we live in a world that seems to be full of anger, hatred and violence which can be disheartening and also makes us take a look at where our priorities are at right now. Sometimes we can also lose our way in life and need a reminder of the good that we possess inside our hearts. But enough about that because today I am here to give you my review for the much anticipated superhero battle between the last son of Krypton and The Dark Knight himself. That's right you guessed it we are looking at Batman V Superman this week which stars Henry Cavill(Man Of Steel) as Clark Kent/Superman, Ben Affleck(Argo) as Bruce Wayne/Batman and a pretty impressive cast list that includes Amy Adams, Jessie Eisenberg,Jeremy Irons,Diane Lane,Laurence Fishburne, Holly Hunter and Gal Gadot. So the gloves are off let us see what the result is in this battle between these two legendary comic book superheroes!

Having witnessed personally the carnage of Superman's(Cavill) and General Zods battle that left Metropolis in ruins with thousands dead including people at his own company. An older and more cynical Bruce Wayne(Affleck) hardened by the life he as lead questions Superman's intentions for this planet. All the while Superman questions Batmans  brand of justice upon criminals in Gotham. These things put the two heroes at odds with one another. While the world is also questioning what kind of hero Superman is and do they really need him. There is a new threat that is starting to arise as Lex Luthor has quietly orchestrated a plan to try and make the world see Superman as threat and that he must be destroyed with the one thing that could kill him Kryptonite. But Luthor has bigger plans and that is to destroy the meta humans that he has proof of. All the while Batman and Superman are fighting each other though Lex Luthor has created a dangerous threat to mankind using Kryptonian genetics from a crashed spaceship in Metropolis. This threat forces Superman and Batman to put their differences aside and with the help of a new ally Wonder Woman. They must try and protect the plant from destruction.

So with that all said and done here is what I thought of this movie after seeing it! It was good for the most part. Had great action sequences, a pretty good story, a bit too long though but a pretty decent movie. Entertaining  but it did take a little while to build up to the climax as it kind of dragged in parts. The character of Lex Luthor could have been a bit stronger I thought. Didn't think Jessie Eisenberg did that great of a job in that role. But ben Affleck was pretty good for the most part as Batman even though there were a lot of doubts about him taking on the role. Hard I guess for anyone to see anyone other than Christian Bale to be playing the role of Batman. Understood where they are trying to go with this movie with the underlying tones of humanities prejudices against anyone that is different and scares them. While there have been many mixed reviews on this movie I can see what they were trying to accomplish here and maybe a few things could have been done differently. Maybe people were expecting to see a big constant battle between the two heroes instead of a story they got. But this is one of those movies that you have to see more than once to get the premise of the story and understand it. This movie gets a 8.3 on The Justin Scale Of Movies and gets put on my Pick-It list of movies to see at the theatre. Well that is a wrap for this week my friends, until next time stay tuned every week for more reviews.
