The Survival Of The 33

Good day my friends and welcome back to another week of another movie review. Hope you all have had a good week since I last wrote on here for you all. But it seems that there has been a lot  going on in the world since I wrote here to you last. Yes we all went about our normal lives, working, paying our bills, socializing with our family and friends. But this past week a tragedy also struck and sent a shock wave felt around the world when  Paris and Beirut was attacked by terrorists leaving over a hundred dead.  Now I am not going to get into too much detail about that here but I am going to hope for peace in this world. Yes I know this sounds a little silly you might think but you have to have hope for the light to shine through when the darkness settles in. And we must have hope and faith for good to happen in the world. To stand united as a race or nation but as the whole world as one big family and hope for the best and not let fear rule our hearts. So with that said it leads me into this weeks movie review which is a true story of hope The 33 which stars Antonio Banderas(The Mask Of Zorro) as Mario Sepulveda. Let us take a look at this true story of hope and survival shall we?

Who can not help but remember 5 years ago when in Chile', 33 men were trapped in 700 meters underground in a gold and copper mine. With no way out and a very limited food supply in a part of the mine called the refuge these 33 men hoped and waited for some sign of a rescue. But with only enough food for 3 days it looked very bleak. Along with that the mining company had no way being able to dig them out as a large piece of the mountain had caved in and they did not have the proper tools for a rescue in time. But when the government headed by the minster of mining takes charge they promos the families of the men trapped down below a real effort to do anything they can to rescue their loved ones. After many unsuccessful attempts to find the men they finally find them with the mens food supply having run out.  So with supplies coming from up above and video messaging with their families the men wait patiently to be rescued and after 69 days down below their prayers are finally answered.

So after seeing this movie I was given a new understanding of what happened to the trapped miners. personally I thought the movie was a decent movie based on a real life event, it was well written, it showed a lot  of heart and had some pretty decent acting performances. While it was good, it did start of a little slow but did pick up. It showed a nice comparison of what the miners, their families and those trying to rescue them were all feeing during those 69 days. The story was good but I do feel that some of the acting performances could have been a little stronger. But all in all a good movie with a good true story and I give it a 7.0 on The Justin Scale Of Movies and put it on my Pick-It list of movies to see in the theatre. Well that is a wrap here folks, so until next time Good Morning, Good Afternoon, Good Evening and as always Good Viewing. I will see you all again at the movies
