Bond Is Back In Style In Spectre

Good day my friends hope you all have been doing well and you enjoyed your Remembrance Day. Well it seems that we have entered the month of November my friends and it also seems that we have quite a few promising movies out there to see. And it also does seem that this month is kicked off with a bang! But yet it is also kicked off in style! And only one movie character can do this and that being James Bond. The iconic movie character is back in the 24th instalment to this long running movie franchise based on the character created by author Ian Fleming. And the name of that movie in case you don't know or have been living under a rock seeing as there is so much press and advertising out there these days is Spectre. Yes Spectre stars Daniel Craig(Layer Cake) who returns  as the worlds most famous spy 007 James Bond, Christoph Waltz(Django Unchained) as Blofeld, Lea Seydoux( Mission Impossible:Ghost Protocol) as Madeleine Swann and Ralph Fiennes(Schindler's List) as M. And I must say on a personal note that after Skyfall and hearing that this was Daniel Craig's last movie as Bond I had really been looking forward to this latest Bond movie. But as a reviewer I must also keep my personal feelings about a movie completely professional and give an objective , fair review and be a reviewer and not a fans. So let us see if Bond can give us some bang for our buck!

The movie starts in Mexico City with Bond( Craig) tracking an Italian hit man and eventually killing him but not in a subtle way but in the big destructive way that only Bond can. It is there that Bond comes into possession of a ring worn by the hit man, a mysterious looking ring with the symbol of an octopus on it. Back in London Bonds  unsanctioned actions in Mexico City have him in trouble with M(Fiennes) as the 00 section is in danger of being shut down in favour of a new surveillance system run by a man Bond calls C that would essentially put an end to privacy. Bond is suspended and just like Bond that doesn't stop him, he continues to dig into the case he was on, even enlisting the help of Moneypenny and Q. What is revealed is a that Bond was given a cryptic message from his previous boss M (Judy Dench) telling him to find and kill this certain hit man and to not miss the funeral. Bonds mission takes him to Italy where he discovers a mysterious and sinister world wide organization that seems to be run by a man from Bonds past named Blofeld(Waltz). Escaping with his life Bond's trail takes him to Austria to find an old enemy Mr. White who has connections to this organization and who is also been targeted for death by this organization. Bond looks for answers about this organization but White refuses until Bond finds out that White is in fear of his daughters life so Bond promises to protect her. White's daughter Madeleine (Seydoux) refuses Bonds protection when he first informs her of who he is but than after Bond saves her from some men who try to abduct her. She agrees to help Bond find the organization that Bond has crossed paths with before and reveals that name of the organization that Bond is after is named Spectre. So Bond along with his new ally search out to find out about the organization known as Spectre and the connection to it's leader and stop them.

Well this seems like quite the plot line for this movie doesn't it? Personally and as reviewer I like this movie. The story was clever and smart with lots of twists and turns that connected all 4 of the Daniel Craig Bond movies. The action was as usual top notch with all the car chases, shoot outs and even a fight on board of a helicopter. Daniel Craig was charming and gritty in his 4th and from what I heard his final turn as the suave British spy. Christoph Waltz was good as Blofleld but I do wish they would have made him a little more sinister and so much like a jealous child.  But the story while long with all its twists and turns did interconnect perfectly like a strategic game of chess. In the end this movie was fun, action packed, full of Bond nostalgia and provided a good time at the movies. It was not as good as Skyfall but it came really close by inches.Which is why I am giving this movie a 7.4 on The Justin Scale Of Movies and putting it on my Pick-It list to see in the theatre. Now that is a wrap here on my end my friends so until next time Good Morning, Good Afternoon, Good Evening and as always Good Viewing. I will see you all again next time at the movies.
