Interstellar Is Out Of This World!

Good day my dear friends and followers of Pick-It Or-Flick-It. Even though it has just been a week since my last movie review, it seems like it has been ages. Now for some a week can be a lifetime you see, or so even can a minute be a lifetime! But I do not know too much about space and time, all I do know is that when you have not seen someone for a period of time, whether it be a day, a week, a month or months, a year or years. It still has the same effect on us all of joy and happiness to see the ones we care about, to hear their voice and feel the touch of their hand. That is the joy of human existence and part of the single greatest power in the universe called love. It can make us travel great distances and do crazy things just to see the ones we care about and try and do something to lend them a helping hand or even try and save the world. Well didn't I just get really deep and philosophical there! Hey your saying I thought this was a movie review not a lesson in humanity? Well fear not it still is! You see it all ties in with this weeks movie review of the latest blockbuster and treat for the mind for us from director Christopher Nolan( The Prestige,The Dark Night Trilogy) the movie Interstellar. This movie stars Matthew McConaughey( Dallas Buyers Club) as Cooper, Anne Hathaway(Les Miserables) as Brand, Michael Caine( Inception) as Professor Brand and Jessica Chastain( Zero Dark Thirty) as Murph. So lets blast off shall we and take a deep space journey to see what kind of treat Christopher Nolan has for us this time, shall we?

The Earth is dying, certain crops are unable to be grown anymore, the planet is becoming one big dust bowl and food is running scarce. In a word mankind is being driven towards extinction if something is not done. The answer is not a find a way to save the Earth but to save the people on it by finding a suitable planet for us to move to before time runs out. Enter Cooper( McConaughey) a former pilot/engineer who is now a farmer raising his two kids with the help of his father-in -law. He is lead by a mysterious code in gravity that he finds in the dust in his daughters room to a secret NASA facility. This facility is not just a base but a space station built on Earth to transport people to a new planet once one is found. But first a solution to gravity must be found to lift these stations of the planet but there is a plan B to populate a new planet genetically. The facility is run by Professor Brand(Caine) who is also a major part of this plan. With his experience as a former NASA pilot Cooper is asked to pilot a space craft built to travel through a worm hole that had appeared several years ago by Saturn to another galaxy to explore 3 planets and see if one of them could be the new home for humanity. Along with three scientists including Professor Brands daughter( Hathaway), Cooper leaves his family behind to help save humanity. But what may seems as months to them in space is years and Coopers grown up daughter Murph( Chastain) searches for the solution to gravity to help the people of Earth get off the planet to a new home instead of dying on their old one.

Now that sounds like a phenomenal movie doesn't it? The answer to that question is yes it sure is! Director Christopher Nolan gives us one hell of a movie here, a true masterpiece that only he could give us. Now I know we are not all scientists, lord knows I am not! But this movie has a way of explaining it all and you just seems to understand. A very smart movie I would say! It was well directed, acted and written. It also had a great human element in the story about how far we would go to save the ones we love even if it to another galaxy. I have nothing really bad to say about this movie, it is a treat of a movie. The reason we go to the theatre which is to be entertained and not only does this movie do that but it also makes you think too. A fantastic picture from beginning to end, something you have to see to believe. Now I guess you see which way I am leaning to here, it is pretty obvious that I am making this movie one of my Pick-It movies to see in the theatre. But what
do I give it as a score on the Justin Scale Of Movies, that's easy it is a 9.3 . A truly phenomenal movie, I fully recommend you see it! That does it my friends! Time to call it a wrap here on this latest movie review. Until next time Good Morning, Good Afternoon, Good Evening and as always Good Viewing. I will see you all next time at the movies. :)
