Living On The Edge Of Tomorrow

Good day my friends, it has been a little while, a little over a week to be exact since I have done a movie review for you all. But you know me I can't stay away long from you all! So this week I am back and am here with a fresh movie review for you. Well this week I have chosen for you the new  action/sci-fi movie Edge Of Tomorrow which stars Tom Cruise(A Few Good Men, Mission:Impossible) as Cage and Emily Blunt( The Adjustment Bureau) as Rita. So without much further ado let us pull up the curtain on the big screen to see if this movie really has us on the edge or wanting us to get out of our seats and leave.

An alien race has invaded earth and is rapidly taking over the Earth, with most of Europe having been   decimated by the unrelenting attack of this seemingly unbeatable enemy. With the worlds armies at a finally scoring a victory in Verdun they realize that they could beat them with one big massive assault on the aliens they call mimics. Major William Cage(Cruise) is an officer who has never seen any combat ever but that all changes when he is thrown directly into this battle that was thought to be well planned out turns into a suicide mission as the enemy seemed too know they were coming.  He is immediately killed while killing a alpha mimic, but he does not die for long he is thrown into a time loop which causes him to live the battle over and over again a trait that the aliens possess , fighting and dying again and again. Each time he dies in battle Cage's skill increases  as does his knowledge of how the days events will go and he battles the enemy alongside Special Forces warrior Rita Vrataski(Blunt) who knows exactly what Cage is experiencing as she has once held this power to live again. As Cage and Rita take the fight to he aliens, they get closer and closer to defeating the enemy and winning this war with each repeated encounter.

Well this seems like quite the movie my friends! And let me tell you it had a plot, the story was very original and was fairly easy to follow even with all the time loops. I found it very interesting and exciting to watch. Tom Cruise was great as an Officer who never has seen combat and who is suddenly thrown into battle  but learns to adapt and try to comprehend his new powers. Emily Blunt was fantastic as a battle hardened Special Forces warrior looking to end the war even if it means losing her own life.  The battle scenes were decent and the special effects were pretty good as well. All in all I would say that this movie was a good choice for my movie dollars and give it a 7.9 on The Justin Scale Of Movies. Putting it on my Pick-It movies to see at the theatre.  So there you have it my friends another movie review in the books and that can only mean that it is time to call it a wrap here on my end. Hopefully you have found this review helpful and informative. Until next time Good Morning, Good Afternoon, Good Evening and as always Good Viewing. I will see all next time at the movies.
