Does Draft Day Get The Number 1 Pick?

Good day my friends hope you all are doing well this fine day. Well it seems that another week has crept up upon us. Plus it seems that the month of April is almost half way done and before we know it we will be in the month of May.And with this new week upon us that can only mean that I have another movie review for you. So to answer the question about what movie I chose to do my review for you this week I chose the Ivan Reitman( Ghostbusters, Up In The Air) sports film Draft Day. This movie stars veteran actor Kevin Costner(Bull Durham, Dances With Wolves) as Sonny Weaver Jr. , Jennifer Garner(Alias, Dallas Buyers Club) as Ali and Chadwick Boseman(42) as Vontae Mack. The stage has been set so let us see what this movie is all about and just how good it is.

So this movie is about Cleveland Browns general manager Sonny Weaver Jr. (Costner) who has the opportunity to rebuild his team on draft day in the NFL. One of the most stressful days for him a day that can make or break him. With the pressure of the fans wanting him to make a great pick, his team owner wanting him to make a big splash and him just finding out that his girlfriend Ali( Garner) who also works for the Browns is pregnant. He is given the offer to have the number 1 draft pick and take a highly touted quarterback. His heart is in taking Vontae Mack instead but under pressure from his owner to do something big or be fired he takes the deal. But as the day goes on and he gets closer and closer to draft time he confronts many challenges from his head coach, mother and his own conscience. In the end he must decide what he really wants to sacrifice on this important day for a few hundred young men with NFL dreams, does he pick the team he wants or who others want him to pick.

Know you know what everyone Kevin Costner seems really at home in these sport drama movies and in general has seemed to make a comeback as of late. He put in a good performance in this movie as does Jennifer Garner. This movie had a good story which flowed very well, had humour and heart plus it was well directed. I thought the characters were believable and the actors assembled to play them did a decent job. Personally I thought this movie was well worth my movie money and it gets put into my Pick-It pile of movies to see in the theatre. It is a good time at the movies and I give Draft Day a 7. 2 on the Justin Scale Of Movies. It seems like I have nothing more to say about this movie, so it is time to sign off here.Until next time my friends Good Morning , Good Afternoon, Good Evening and as always Good Viewing I will see you all again at the movies. And that's a wrap!
