Running From The Texas Chainsaw 3D

Good day my friends and welcome to the first movie review of 2013, with this weeks movie review we go to the movie that seemed to be tops at the box office this past weekend. This movie managed to made $21.7 million and beat out The Hobbit for first place. The movie I am talking about is the latest instalment to one of hollywoods famous horror franchises Texas Chainsaw 3D. This movie stars Alexandra Daddario( Percy Jackson And The Olympians: The Lighting Thief) as Heather Miller. Well the popcorn is made and the 3D glasses are on let us take a look and see if we should be running for our lives or just or just running to tout of the theatre in disgust.

Starting out in Texas in the 1974 with scene's from the original classic horror movie this movie continues with the events that transpired after the only survivor from reports to the police all the events that took place in the Sawyer farm house. With the report Sheriff Hooper goes out to the Sawyer place to get them to come out peacefullywithout any bloodshed and he would consider looking the other way if they sent out Jed Sawyer otherwise known as Leatherface. But just as the Sawyers agree to send him out an armed posse from town has come to exact justice of their own and it ends with the entire Sawyer clan being shot and killed along with the farm house being burnt to the ground. The mob surveys the ruins of the burnt homestead and one of the vigilante's Gavin Miller finds a Sawyer woman shot but clinging on to life and cradling a baby,he takes the baby from the woman and leaves her for dead raising the baby girl with his wife as his own. Decades later Heather Miller (Daddario)recieves a letter from a lawyer telling her that a grandmother she never knew has passed away and left her an inheritance, a big mansion and large property with the condition that if she accepts it that she not sell it. So along with 3 of her friends and one drifter they pick up along the way Heather goes to Texas to claim her inheritance and find out more about who her family really was.Little does she know that the house comes along with a dark secret that lives in the basement of her grandmothers house her cousin Jed aka Leatherface who also survived the vigilante mobs carnage and has been hiding out there for years. But now he is loose, people are dying and the remenants of the mob that killed the Sawyers is out for justice to finish off Leatherface and eliminate any remaining Sawyers which just happens to be Heather.

Well so far so not great, I found this movie predictable with a few new twists and turns, I mean it had all the elements that made it so predictable. You knew when something was going to happen and that someone was going to be killed, it even had the partial female nudity that all slasher movies seem to incorporate. The plot was it self week and also predictable and the acting subpar, all the T&A and 3D graffics could not save this movie and make it better. I did like the fact that they continued from the 1974  original but other than that this movie was not that great at all and makes me wonder why it took top spot at the box office.

Now that the popcorn has been finished off and the credits are rolling it is time for me to give you my rating on this movie. For Texas Chainsaw 3D I give it a 5.0 at best on the Justin Scale of movies becaus eany more than that would be more than generous. This puts this movie on the Flick-It pile along with the others that are there, If you want to see this movie I would wait till it comes out on dvd chnces are it won't take long for it to get there.

The time has come to call it a wrap on this weeks movie review so as always my friends I bid you farewell for now. As always Good Morning, Good Afternoon, Good Evening and as always Good Viewing I will see you all again at the movies.
