Trouble With The Curve Throws The Perfect Game

Well hello my friends , I realize it has been a while since I did a recent movie review and I apologize for not doing one in a while I just needed a little break and really there was not many good movies out lately to see. With that said it is time to get on with what you really came here for and that is a movie review and not my excuse for no review in 2 weeks. So without further ado here we go , this weeks review is on the sports/ drama movie Trouble With The Curve . This movie stars acting legend Clint Eastwoood ( Gran Torino) as aging baseball scout Gus Lobel , Amy Adams ( The Fighter) as Gus' daughter Mickey and Justin Timberlake ( Friends With Benefits) as Johnny Flannigan a former pitcher turned scout. The first pitch is about to get thrown out so lets watch to see if this kids got what it takes for the big leagues, alright .

Gus Lobel ( Eastwood ) a scout for the Atlanta Braves is one of the best in baseball and has signed some of biggest names to ever play for the Braves. But unfortunately age is catching up with Gus and his eye sight is starting to go on him which could affect his job and continued employment with the Braves organization . With the major league draft coming up in a few short days Gus goes to scout the potential #1 draft pick but with his failing eye sight a problem his daughter Mickey( Adams)  with the urge of family friend goes to help her dad who she doesn't have the greatest relationship with. Mickey puts her big promotion of becoming a partner in the law firm she works at on the line to go and help Gus in hopes of  becoming closer with her father. Gus reluctantly accepts Mickeys help and the two work together to scout a young hitter named Bo Gentry who every major league baseball scout is interested in including Johnny Flannigan ( Timberlake) a former pitcher that Gus once signed who now works for the Boston Red Sox which happen to have the #1 pick in the draft . As the scouting trip carries on Mickey searches for answers from her father as to why he sent her way as a child after her mother died in hopes of getting some closure and helping her father keep his job.

Well this young talent looks promising so lets keep watching to see if he is really as good as everyone is saying. Now when it comes to this movie it has a decent story and is more than just about baseball it is about the somewhat broken relationship between a father and his daughter. It seemed to start out a little bit slow at first but once the movie got going it was enjoyable to watch. Clint Eastwood has become the master of portraying the cranky, sarcastic, stubborn old man and was fun to watch. Amy Adams did an equally  good job playing Gus' daughter looking to have a closer relationship with her father. Justin Timberlake 's  natural charismatic personality helped make his character in this movie very enjoyable as well and played well off the two leads in this movie.

Now we have seen pretty much all this young phenom has to show us and it is time for us to make a decision on whether or not we should draft him. So the moment of truth has come and now here is what  all I have been writing about up til now comes down to and that is my rating on this film. When it comes the movie Trouble With The Curve I give it a 7.0 on the Justin Scale and give say it is a Pick-It as this movie has heart and was enjoyable to watch .

There you have it we made this movie our pick so the time has come  to call it a wrap on another movie review. So until next time my friends Good Morning , Good Afternoon , Good Evening and as always Good Viewing I will see you all again at the movies.
