Good day my friends and welcome to another movie review , sorry I am so late with this review as I have been a little busy as of late even though I saw this movie last week. Well lets get back on track here shall we with this weeks review we take a look at the latest movie in the Bourne movie franchise The Bourne Legacy . This movie stars Jeremy tenner( The Town, The Avengers) as Aaron Cross , Rachel Weisz ( The Mummy) as Dr. Marta Shearing and Edward Norton ( The Hulk) as Retired USAF Col. Eric Byer. So as we go searching for answers to so many hidden secrets that the government has hidden from the public we are sure to put our own lives in danger.
With the fallout from the events in The Bourne Ultimatum and the truth about to come out about the C.I.A assassination programs known as Treadstone and it's upgrade Blackbriar the Department of defence must scramble to look at one of their own programs Outcome. The Outcome program shares it origins with the Treadstone as the behavioral science that was used on the Treadstone agents has been upgraded and advanced for the Outcome program. In this particular program is Aaron Cross ( Renner) one of six agents in this program , but the agents in Outcome are more than just assassins they are used in isolated , high risk , long term intelligence assignments. But with Bourne's story about to become public knowledge Retired USAF Col. Eric Byer ( Norton) sets out to clean up the mess of Treadstone and its connections to Outcome. The only way to do all this is to get rid of the program and eliminate all those involved with it which not only include the agents but the doctors used to help develop the science one of them being Dr. Marta Shearing ( Weisz) . As these people are being eliminated two people avoid being killed Cross who the Defence Dept thinks is they already eliminated and Dr. Shearing who narrowly avoided being killed. But when Cross in need of the meds used in the program to keep them alive he seeks the help of Dr. Shearing to help him out , with the government looking to eliminate them and time running short Cross and Shearing fight to stay alive while also searching for answers.
Wellwe have avoided certain danger as our search for answers draws ever so close to being answered. In a few words to describe this movie they have to be long, drawn out and not overly that strong of a movie. I found Renner's character interesting and was expecting more from it but ultimately was disappointed as the movie carried on even though Renner gave a decent performance. The story in whole had promise but was long and seemed to lose my interest part way through it as it got weaker as the story carried on. All in all a bit of a disappointment from the last three Bourne movies and was expecting more from the trailers that I had seen for this movie.
The search draws ever so near to and end as all our questions are almost answered , just one more key piece of evidence is needed. Now here comes the part that brings us all here to read this review and that is the rating on The Justin Scale and for The Bourne Legacy I would have to give it a 5.9 . It was not overly that strong of a movie in fact it was the weakest of the four so I would have to say that when it comes to this movie it would be to Flick-It. If you wish to see this movie I would wait for it to come out on dvd.
