Having A Premium Rush

Good day my friends and hello , welcome to another Pick-It or Flick-It review with this weeks review I am trying something a little different I am not going to beat around the bush and just get right down to brass tacks . With this weeks movie review we are going on thrill ride on bicycles as we go speeding through the streets of New York  in the action/thriller movie from Columbia pictures Premium Rush. This movie stars Joseph-Gordon Levitt ( The Dark Knight Rises)  as Wilee a New York City bike messenger. So the race is on to get that package delivered we better get going it is not an easy journey we have to make.

On the streets of New York there are fearless men and women who risk there very own lives to get letters and packages delivered . They are not very well liked by most of the city for there relentless nature as they carry out their duties as bike messengers. In this brave group of men and women is Wilee  (Levitt) who is not just a bike messenger but a former law student who prefers the rush of being a bike messenger and is bit of a dare devil. One day he gets an order to pick up a letter from an old friend of his at the college he went to and take it to its destination. It seems just like an ordinary run of the mill delivery until a crooked New York City Detective with a huge gambling debt tries to take the letter from him in order to settle a debt with his bookie. On his trail is not only the detective but a bike cop who Wilee evaded while delivering the letter for breaking some traffic laws and his rival at the messenger service he works for. As the story goes on all the pieces come together as to the importance of this letter and Wilee must keep the letter safe and get it to its destination on time through out all the obstacles and dangers he usually faces on the streets and the new ones that have appeared on this day.

Zipping in and out of traffic avoiding certain death and crippling injuries all seem to be in a days work but it is nothing we can't handle so lets keep going and make our deliveries. So lets see with this movie I found it somewhat original when it came to the action and choice of hero for the story. I found Joseph -Gordon Levitt perfect for this role as he pulled of a the role of a cocky bike messenger with great ease. But the crooked cop character with anger issues seemed a little more silly rather than maniacal and was not to strong of a antagonist. While the story seemed to have promise ultimately it was a little weak and could shave been better.

Our deliveries are almost done just a few scrapes and bruises just got one last delivery to make before we are done. So when it comes to Premium Rush I would have to give it a 6.2 on the Justin Scale as it had some promise but not enough to get a high rating from me in all do respect. Which of course means now that with all this said it would have to given the title of Flick-It , I would wait for this one to out on dvd folks.

So all our deliveries are all done and it is time for us to call it a wrap on this latest review. So as always my friends. Good Morning, Good Afternoon, Good Evening and as always Good Viewing I will see you all again at the movies.
