Being Part Of The Expendables 2

Well hello my friends so this is a real treat back to back reviews for you all , with review number two i promise you is very action packed . This one is full of nostalgia as well as we take a look at  The Expendables 2  the action packed thrill ride sequel to the original which came out in 2010 with a who's who of action stars and this one gives us even more. The sequel brings back the same group of action stars Sylvester Stallone ( Rocky) as Barney Ross , Jason Statham ( The Transporter) as Lee Christmas , Bruce Willis ( Die Hard) as Mr. Church , Arnold Schwarzenneger ( The Terminator) as Trench and also stars Terry Crews ,  Randy Couture , Dolph Lundgren and Jet Li revising their roles from the original . The movie also brings us some new characters in Jean Claude Van Damme ( Bloodsport) as Villain , Liam Hemsworth ( The Hunger Games) as Billy The Kid and of course Chuck Norris ( Missing in Action ) as Booker. Wow now that's quite the impressive list of action stars in one movie so it better be good , kind of takes you back to all the action movies of the 80's. Let's quit pussy footing around and get going with al the actioned packed excitement  shall we.

Barney Ross ( Stallone) and his team of mercenaries which include Lee Christmas( Statham) , Hail Caesar( Crews) , Gunnar ( Lundgren) , Yin Yang ( Li) , Toll Road ( Couture) and Billy The Kid ( Hemsworth) have just returned from their latest mission filled with gun fire and numerous explosions and destruction safe and sound. With a much needed rest and the purpose of their job on the minds of the team the mysterious Mr. Church ( Willis) returns to have Barney and his team do another job for him and the government as repayment for all the trouble they caused him for the first time they did for him. This time he wants them to go and recover a small piece of cargo in the form of a hard drive kept in a secure safe on board a crashed military plane and if they don't than Church will have Barney and his entire team put in a government prison . Off they go to retrieve this precious cargo but are ambushed  by Villain ( Van Damme) and his army of terrorists who take the hard drive from Barney and company which happens to have a map of stock piled plutonium for nuclear warheads in a cave. In the process of losing the map one of the team is killed in the process which makes it even more personal. Now the team is not only for revenge of their fallen comrade but also must stop Villain from getting the plutonium as well with the help of a couple new team members Trench( Schwarzenneger) and Booker ( Norris) .

Now that's a lot of action going on so far , so much adrenaline happening here . With this movie you get what was advertised pure and simple and that is tons of action , gunfire , explosions to go with a who' who of action stars past and present  in this movie. Now this movie has a lot of laughs as well to go with all these characters and liked that they use some of the other team members more than in the first which made twice as enjoyable . If you were looking for some sort of deep story to go along with this movie better think again this a good old fashioned action movie kind a throw back to all the action movies of the 1980's. But in this case this kind of movie works because it is nice to have a movie such as this once in a while. This movie may not win an Oscar but it was fun to watch and the actors seem to  have a good time performing in it.

Well as fast as the action starts it is close to ending so here is the rating for The Expendables 2 on The Justin Scale and for this movie I give it a 7.9 . It was a fun movie to watch and totally worth the price of  admission and i would have to say Pick-it , trust me after watching it you will want to see it again.
