In this scene Goose ( Anthony Edwards) is betting Maverick( Cruise) that he cannot pick up any woman in the bar to which he proceeds to go and sing " You Lost That Loving Feeling " by The Righteous Brothers . A scene that is a true classic in cinema history a definite classic .
