Ted Is His Name

Good day my friends well it is officially July 1st and summer movie season is just about to start to get interesting and this my first official review of July. With this review we are hanging out with a good friend as we look at the Seth MacFarlane's  ( Family Guy) first movie in which he Direct's , Writes and acts as he provides the voice of the character Ted. This movie also stars Mark Wahlberg ( The Italian Job) as John Bennett and Mila Kunis ( Friends With Benefits) as Lori Collins. Well lets get ready to hang out with our good buddy and have some fun so lets go.

When 8yr old John Bennett gets a a Teddy Bear for Christmas he gets what he always wanted a friend of his very own that he names Teddy. Spending every moment of his time with Teddy young Johnny wishes one night that Teddy could really talk to him and miraculously in the morning Johnny finds that Teddy has come to life . Word soon spreads quick about the Teddy Bear that came to life and Teddy becomes famous , but like all 15 minutes of fame it eventually ends  and you are forgotten about . With 27 years having gone by John ( Wahlberg) is working at a car rental place , is still friends with Ted ( MacFarlane ) and are spending their days drinking and smoking pot living in John's girlfriend Lori's ( Kunis) apartment . When on their 4 year anniversary of when they first started dating Lori confronts John with the issue that he has never really grown up and it mostly because of his friendship with Ted. So she asks John to get Ted to move out on his own to which John eventually agrees . He asks Ted to move out,  helps him gets job and get settled into his very own place but there is a couple of problems one is an obsessed fan named Donny ( Giovanni Ribisi) of Ted's who wants to buy Ted for his own son . The other Problem is that even with Ted out on his own John is still spending every moment he can with Ted even making excuses to leave work early to hang out with him to which causes much tension between John and Lori. This all eventually comes to Lori breaking up with John because of his refusal to grow up and puts a strain on the friendship between Ted and John. This leads Ted to have to try and help John to grow up , repair John's relationship with Lori and fix his own friendship with John while trying to avoid his obsessed fan. Well aren't we having a good time with our good buddy  having a few laughs and a couple of cold beers.

Let's get  this show on the road shall we first of all I would just like to say that I thought this movie was very entertaining and original. The humour was really good in fact there was really not a moment in this entire movie where you were not laughing , it was well placed and thought out humour. The story was very enjoyable and the movie just seemed to flow along very well. Mark Wahlberg was excellent in this movie along side Mila Kunis and Seth MacFarlane proving that he is really good at comedic roles. Really the acting in this movie was pretty good and I don't have any complaints about it , I enjoyed the characters main and supporting plus I really liked how Seth MacFarlane used the voice of Peter Griffen from his show Family Guy as the voice of the Character Ted. All in all an entertaining and funny movie  but with it's humour geared more towards adults it is not really movie for children.

Well our night out with our good buddy is coming to an end last call is about to come and the beer in the glasses are almost gone so let's finish up shall we. For the movie Ted on the Justin Scale I would have to give it an 8.0 because of basically what I said above that it was both entertaining and funny I know I couldn't stop laughing. With that said you can only guess what I am going to say know and you are absolutely right this movie is definetly a Pick-It, it is a movie you will most certainly enjoy.

Well our night has come to an end our friends have gone home so it is time to call it a wrap on this latest review so as always Good Morning , Good Afternoon , Good Evening and as always Good Viewing I will see you all again at the movies.
