And The Dark Knight Rises

Good day my friends and welcome back to another one of my movie reviews , it seems like it has been a while since I wrote one for you. Well it may have taken me a while to get my latest one to you but sometimes we all need a short pause to recharge our batteries so that we can do our best job possible that way we don't burn ourselves out. Now enough about me lets get talking about this weeks review and it is on a movie that I not ashamed to say I had been looking forward to see since I saw the teaser trailer last summer. This time my review is on the long anticipated finale to Director Christopher Nolans (The Prestige , Inception) Batman trilogy The Dark Knight Rises. The movie starred Christian Bale ( The Fighter) as BruceWayne /Batman , Gary Oldman ( The Fifth Element) as Commissioner Gordon, Michael Caine (Austin Powers In Goldmember) as Alfred Pennyworth , Morgan Freeman ( Kiss The Girls) as Fox , Tom Hardy( Inception) as Bane, Marion Cotillard(Contagion) as Miranda Tate , Joseph Gordon-Levitt (50/50) as Blake and Anne Hathaway( The Devil Wears Prada) as Selina Kyle/Catwoman. Now that is one impressive cast list if you ask me a lot of very talented actors but into this movie.Lets get going here as we take a trip through Gotham City as we observe the Batman and his fight to stop the crime that has plagued this city.

It has been 8 years since the events of The Dark Knight and Gotham City has been living peacefully with most of the cities dangerous criminals locked up with the help of a law known simply as the Dent Act. It has also been 8 years since Batman took the blame for Harvey Dents crimes so the city could have the symbol of hope it needed. In these years Bruce Wayne(Bale) lives as a recluse living with the guilt from eight years ago and not even knowing what is going on with his own company Wayne Enterprises. Unknown to him the terrorist leader Bane ( Hardy) who was kicked out of the League Of Shadows by Ra's Al Ghul ( Liam Neeson) has come to Gotham to finish the job that Ra's Al Ghul did not and destroy Gotham. Bane is discovered in the sewers by Commissioner Gordon ( Oldman) while pursuing some of his thugs to which he is captured by Bane and narrowly escapes. With Gordon in the hospital from his injuries from his escape a persistent young police officer named Blake(Gordon-Levitt) goes to see Bruce Wayne and tells him he knows who he really is convinces him that the Batman is needed again with this new threat about to rise.Going to Wayne Enterprises to find out what has been going on with his company Bruce learns that his company is on the verge of being taken over and has not been making much of a profit over the past 8 yrs  with one of options being to give control of it to business woman Miranda Tate( Cotillard). While there Fox( Freeman) gives Bruce some new gadgets that he might use for the Batman's return which include a really cool aircraft. In no time Bruce once again becomes the Batman to the disapproval of his butler and friend Alfred( Caine) and sets out to find  Bane. Needing to find Bane Batman enlists the help of thief Selina Kyle ( Hathaway) also known as the Catwoman but Batman is badly hurt and forces Bruce to watch from captivity his plans for Gotham from a tv in a cell at a unescapable prison that include wiping Gotham off the face of the earth with a neutron bomb that was once a power source for a new renewable energy source that Wayne Enterprises was developing. With time running out Bruce must find a way to escape and return to Gotham that is under Banes control and stop the bomb before it explodes and destroys all of Gotham.

Wow look at Batman go as he out there fighting crime and stopping some of the cities most dangerous criminals, so while he is doing that lets keep going with this review. If  I had one word to describe this movie I would have to say spectacular as director Christopher Nolan has yet again given us another great movie. This movie had a great script with an excellent story line keeping quite a bit of the Batman lore in the movie while still keeping it in a real world setting, the characters were nicely woven in together to make this story connect nicely with a few twists and turns to keep you guessing it was perfect ending to his Batman trilogy. The acting performances by all the actors involved were very well done as well Christian Bale was excellent as usual Tom Hardy was very creepy and convincing as the terrorist Bane , Anne Hathaway was a joy to watch as Catwoman and Gary Oldman , Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine were really good as always to watch and the addition of Joseph Gordon-Levitt was good as well. All in all a really well done movie from start to finish in this final chapter of Nolans Batman Trilogy the 2hrs and 45min just seemed to fly by watching this movie.

Well Batman has almost got Gothams dangerous criminals captured so lets get to wrapping up this review . Now you could probably guess by now what I am going to give this movie but if you guessed that i am giving it an 9.0 on the Justin Scale you were right. This rating most definitely gives this movie a hands down Pick-It , I fully recommend seeing this movie it is worth the price of the admission you won't be disappointed.

Seems like Batman has caught the villain and I guess that means it is time to wrap up this latest review so as always Good Morning, Good Afternoon, Good Evening and as always Good Viewing I will see you all again at the movies.
