Reading The Chernobyl Diaries

Good day my friend and welcome back to another movie review , are you ready to go on a journey a journey into fear. Well if you are then lets get going , let us get our bags packed and ready, do you have everything ? Did you remember your camera , check ok then lets get going on our trip that you will never forget or will try hard to. Our latest review takes us on a journey of terror as we take a look at the horror / thriller The Chernobyl Diaries starring Jessie McCartney ( Horton Hears A Who ) , Jonathan Sadowski ( Live Free Or Die Hard ).

While on a trip across  Europe  Chris ( McCartney) with his girlfriend Natalie ( Olivia Dudley) and their friend Amanda ( Devin Kelley) stop in Kiev to see Paul ( Sadowski) Chris' brother. While there they hire an extreme tour guide to take them and two others to the abandoned city of Pripyat , the former home to the workers of the Chernobyl nuclear reactor which has been deserted for 25 years ever since the disaster. While unable to get into the city through the main road they sneak in using a backroad and begin to spend the better part of the day exploring the abandoned city. While taking in the day touring Pripyat they wrap up their tour and plan to start heading back but their van mysteriously breaks down which leaves them stranded . While hearing noises in the supposed abandoned city chris and their guide Yuri go to see what it is only to be attacked by mutant cannibals who were thought to be just a legend of the abandoned city. Trying to find a way out of the city and being hunted by the mutant inhabitants of Pripyat the six tourists fight to stay alive so that they can make it back to civilization.

Did you enjoy the journey so far well I will tell you what I liked about it or didn't like about it so let me tell you. First of all I enjoyed the story I found it interesting and creative it had grabbed your attention and kept you watching to see how it all played out. The actors did a decent job playing out characters who were on the run trying to survive from an enemy that they did not know. I found the effect of not being able to see the faces of the mutants  up close or for long very well used in this movie which made this an entertaining and effective horror movie. But like any horror movie there are always the same kind of patterns that we all recognize like leaving to go check a mysterious noise and yelling out someones name when they should be keeping quite so as to not be found and killed. The only thing I have found that was negative about this movie was some of the predictability but it kind of worked on this occasion,

So it is time to tell you that I think this movie is a Pick-It if your in the mood for a good horror / thriller it is a worth while movie to see and I give it a 7.7 on the Justin Scale of movies. Well there you have it another review in the books and that means it is time to call it a wrap so as always Good Morning , Good Afternoon , Good Evening and as always Good Viewing I will see you all again at the movies .
