The History Of Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter

Good day my friends and welcome back to another review , hope all is well with you and you are enjoying all the wonderful things that the summer season has to offer including my favourite thing summer movie season. Well in todays review we take a trip back in time for a history lesson but not just any ordinary history lesson , a untold story the story of Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter. This movie which was directed by Timur Bekmambetov ( Wanted) stars Benjamin Walker ( Flags Of Our Fathers) as Abraham Lincoln, Dominic Cooper ( Captain America: The First Avenger) as Henry Sturgess,Anthony Mackie( The Adjustment Bureau) asWill Johnson, Mary Elizabeth Winstead( Live Free Or Die Hard) as Mary Todd Lincoln and Rufus Sewell (A Knights Tale) as Adam. Are you ready to leave, good well than lets walk through the time portal and take our journey.

As a young boy Abraham Lincoln was wiling to stand up for what he believed in and when his childhood friend a young african american boy named Will Johnson was being taken back to the southern United States into slavery and was being beaten by the man taking him back young Abe decides to step in and stop him.Being beaten by the slave master for interfering Abes father steps in to save him incurring the wrath of the man he works for Jack Barts ( Marton Csokas) and owes a debt to. To which Jack demands Abes father pay him now or he will settle his debt in some other way which turns out to be taking the life of young Abraham mother that the young boy witnesses Jack Barts a vampire killing his mother.Years pass and the young Abe ( Walker) is now a grown man set on revenge against the vampire that killed his mother and after unsuccessfully trying he is rescued by a mysterious vampire hunter Henry Sturgess ( Cooper) who agrees to train Abraham to destroy the vampires. Now ready to hunt the vampires Abe studies law by day and hunts vampires by night and along the way he meets the love of his life Mary Todd ( Winstead) , runs into his old friend Will ( Mackie) and learns of the plot by leader of the vampires Adam( Sewell) to take over the United States. Figuring that he cannot protect his friends and have a life with Mary, Abraham  decides to fight them another way by becoming a politician and eventually the president to get rid of them using the civil war to do so to eliminate Adam and all vampires . Wow that is some triple are on but we don't get long here before the portal closes so lets keep going before we are stuck in the past.

Where to start, where to start well lets see while this movie did have some historical figures and some facts in it was to me a little bit silly of an idea for a movie . With the whole premise that one of the greatest presidents in United States history was also a vampire hunter seemed a little ridiculous but in a way some what original so I have to give it that. But for the most part this movie was not entirely well acted I found the characters to be unbelievable as if the actors couldn't wait to be done this movie. The character of Adam needed more conflict with Abraham Lincoln , the movie seemed rushed and while the plot of the movie seemed ok at times in the end it was mediocre at best. Now don't get me wrong the action sequences were ok but not great  there were just to many slow motion scenes which was a little tiresome and it just seems this movie was rushed , now maybe I am seeming a little harsh but this is what I thought of this particular movie and isn't the whole vampire thing a little overdone already .We better start our way back to our own time the portal is about to close so lets get going.

Now after saying all that I will bet you will know what I am going to rate this movie on the Justin  Scale and unless you can read my mind right now you won't . On the Justin Scale I would have to give this movie a 5.0 and that is mostly for originality in the idea of this movie and not much more . So you would have to know where i leading to here by know and that is to say that this movie is definitely a Flick-It movie , wait till it comes out on dvd to watch this one.

Well we have stepped back through the portal and are back in our own time and now it is time to call it a wrap on this latest  review. So as always Good morning , Good Afternoon , Good Evening and as always Good Viewing I will see you all again t the movies.
