Suiting Up For Men In Black 3

Good day my friends and welcome back to another edition of Pick-It-Or-Flick-It , may I also say to my viewers in the USA happy Memorial Day weekend. With tonights review we are looking at Men In Black 3 the latest instalment in the Men In Black series which reunites Will Smith ( Independence Day , I Robot) and Tommy Lee Jones ( The Fugitive , Double Jeopardy) . The movie also stars Josh Brolin ( No Country For Old Men) , Emma Thompson ( Nanny McPhee ) and Jermaine Clement ( Dinner For Schmucks ) .

It has been fourteen years since Agent J ( Smith ) was recruited to join the MIB by Agent K ( Jones) and he thought that he has learned all the secrets of the universe. But when a Alien killer known as Boris The Animal (Clement) escapes from prison on the moon and comes to Earth with the full intention of killing Agent K for putting him in prison , shooting off his arm and stopping his plans for destroying the Earth J starts to find out there are things that he didn't know about K. To get revenge on K Boris goes back in time to July 16th 1969 the day of the Apollo 11 moon launch to kill K who captured him there at Cape Canaveral and change history so that he can succeed at destroying the Earth in the future .With Boris succeeding in his plan and no knowing who K was except J , it is revealed to Agent J that K has been dead since 1969 and the invasion that he stopped is now happening. After proving that the knows who K was J is sent back to 1969 by Agent O ( Thompson) to stop Boris and set the future right. While sent back in time J must team up with the younger Agent K ( Brolin ) who is not so much like the K of the future to stop Boris before he kills K.

Now this movie while decent was just not as strong as the first one but it did have several funny parts to it like finding out that Mick Jagger was actually an alien who was sent here to mate with Earth women. The chemistry between Smith and Jones was still there for the limited time that Jones was on screen but with the addition of Josh Brolin to the movie as young Agent K the chemistry doesn't seem to be lost. I personally enjoyed Josh Brolin as the young Agent K and thought he did a good job sounding like Tommy Lee Jones, Will Smith was his usual sarcastic self which had some good jokes but a few bad ones as well. The villain Boris played by Jermaine Clement was more annoying than evil and really couldn't wait for him to be killed off.

All in all this was a pretty fair movie when you get down to it with the story being somewhat weak but workable and enjoyable. So when you get right down to it I would have to give this movie a 7.3 on the Justin Scale as it was not as strong as the first movie but did have it's moments and that is why I would have to say that this movie is a Pick-it if you liked the first two than you will like this one.

Now the time has come to call it a wrap on another review so as always Good Morning , Good Afternoon , Good Evening and as always Good Viewing I will see you all again at the Movies.
