Changing The Frequency For May's DVD Pick

Hello there my friends it is that certain time of the month for me to reveal to you all my DVD "Pick" of the month to you all . After many countless days of searching , thinking and watching many movies for the perfect DVD " Pick " for the month of May I have come to my decision . That all being said to build up the suspense for you here you go my DVD 'Pick" of the month is none other than the movie Frequency starring Dennis Quaid (The Day After Tomorrow , Footloose ) and Jim Caviezel ( Person of Interest , Deja Vu ) .

In 1969 NYC is caught up in the Mets being in their first World Series , fearing a serial killer known as The Nightingale who has killed 3 nurses and a rare atmospheric phenomenon. In all this is NYC firefighter Frank Sullivan ( Quaid) who is looking forward to the Mets in The World Series has no idea that in three days he is going to die in a warehouse fire. Flash forward 30yrs NYC is experiencing the same atmospheric phenomenon  and Frank's son John Sullivan ( Caviezel ) a NYC cop whose life has never been the same since his father died almost thirty years ago is about to have his life changed forever. Finding his fathers old ham radio packed away in a trunk John on the urging of his friend Gordo ( Noah Emmerich ) John sets it up in the den where his father used to have it set up to see if it still works. While determining that the ham radio does not work John gets a sudden surprise when he able to talk to his father 30yrs in the past and ends up saving Frank's life but ends up changing history as well when his mother Julia ( Elizabeth Mitchell) ends up becoming a victim of the serial killer known as the Nightingale whose killing spree did not end at just killing three women as it originally did. With the history changed father and son must work together thirty years apart in order catch a killer to prevent the deaths of so many women who weren't supposed to die.

Let me just say that when I first saw this movie I liked the idea of how two people could communicate with one another through a ham radio and liked how the entire story played out in this movie. The actors gave life to a script that had heart and was more of a drama than a science fiction movie with a little bit of mystery put in it which is why this movie was so interesting to watch. For these reasons I am picking this movie for Mays DVD "Pick " of the month and rate it 7.9 on the Justin Scale of movies .

Well that's a wrap on Mays DVD "Pick" of the month hopefully you get a chance to view this movie so as always Good Morning , Good Afternoon , Good Evening and as always Good Viewing I will see you all again at the movies .
