April's DVD Pick Takes You On "The Italian Job"

Good day my friends where ever you are it is time for me to give you my DVD  "Pick" of the month and for that we have to go back to 2003 and watch a favourite of mine " The Italian Job" starring Mark Wahlberg ( Boogie Nights) , Charlize Theron (Monster) , Donald Sutherland (The Hunger Games) , Edward Norton ( Fight Club) , Jason Statham (The Transporter) , Mos Def ( 16 Blocks) and Seth Green ( Austin Power's Trilogy) . A crack team of thieves consisting of the mastermind Charlie Croker ( Wahlberg) , safe cracker John Bridger ( Sutherland ) , premier wheelman Handsome Rob ( Statham) , techno specialist Lyle aka The Napster ( Green ) who claims he was the one that really invented Napster , explosives expert LeftEar ( Mos Def) and second in command Steve ( Norton) are in Venice to steal fortune in gold.

After a successful heist Charlie and the rest of the team are betrayed by Steve who steals the gold for himself killing John and leaving the rest of the team for dead . Fast forward a few months later and Charlie has come to ask John's daughter Stella ( Theron) for help as he has tracked down Steve and found out he is living in Los Angeles but needs Stella to help them crack the safe that Steve has the gold stored in. She eventually agrees as she wants to see the look on Steve's face when they take his gold as he killed her father. Off the entire team goes to Los Angeles to steal back the gold that was taken from them and to extract a little revenge on Steve for betraying them.

This movie is an excellent Pick whether you are in the mood for action or comedy , it's characters's are interesting and play off each other well not to mention that the actors portraying them have a great chemistry which makes this movie twice as enjoyable. The film has a smart well written script as well so when you combine all these elements you get a well rounded action-comedy which anyone can enjoy and gets a 8.5 on the Justin Scale of movies which makes it a natural pick for this months DVD selection . Well my friends the time has come to call it a wrap on this month's DVD "Pick" of the month so as always Good Morning , Good Afternoon , Good Evening and as always Good Viewing I will see you all again at the movies.
