American Reunion Serves Us Up One More Piece Of Laughter

Hello again my friends , hope you are all doing well and are ready for this weeks movie review and it is a good one . Ooops did I give away the ending but not the whole ending , this weeks review is on the movie American Reunion the fourth theatrical movie in the hugely popular American Pie series which reunites us with all the original characters from the first two movies and stars Jason Biggs, Thomas Ian Nicholas, Chris Klein , Alyson Hannigan, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Sean William Scott, Mena Suvari, Tara Reid and Eugene Levy as Jim's dad as they return to East Great falls for their 10 year high school reunion and much has changed since they graduated high school . Jim(Biggs) and Michelle( Hannigan) are married and have a son named Evan but their sex life has become non-existent , Oz (Klein) host his own prime time sports show in Los Angeles but is not married but dating a gorgeous blonde party girl named Mia, Kevin (Nicolas) is an architect and stay at home husband. Finch ( Thomas) has dropped off the map with no one knowing what he has been up to, Heather ( Suvari) is dating a heart surgeon and is a doctor herself , Vicki (Reid)is living in New York , and Stifler ( Scott) he works as an assistant in a brokerage house but is still very much Stifler and has been waiting for this high school reunion. The gang finds themselves dealing with old emotions , new problems , old memories and the bonds of friendship as they try to make it to their reunion all with comedic results such as Jim finds himself the sexual target of the all grown up girl next door who he used to babysit and wants him to be her first even though he is married and tries to avoid her advances and also dealing with getting his widowed father  (Levy) back into the dating world. This movie was very enjoyable to watch as the cast works so well together , the story was great while dealing us the same kind of humour we come to expect from this movie franchise but that we can never grow tired of laughing at. I know personally myself I was laughing so hard I was crying and it made me even a little bit nostalgic for the close group of friends that I had when I was in High School that I don't see anymore in which this movie accomplished two of it 's goal's it made me laugh a lot and spoke to me about the bonds of friendship that should not be lost. Well that time has come again for all of us to find out what I gave this particular movie on The Justin Scale of movies and here is your answer I give it a 8.5 on the Justin Scale as it entertained me fully , it made me laugh a lot , it brought back some old friends to the screen that we  missed and who we could reconnect with. So as you more than likely guessed it I am going to say Pick-it when it comes to seeing this movie even though some might say that it is getting old with the same old jokes I would say that this movie works  for me and is  extremely funny and I suggest going to see it while it is in the theatre so you can get a really good laugh and I think we all need one at times. Yup the time has come for me to call it a wrap on this weeks edition Of " Pick-It Or Flick-It" so as always Good Morning , Good Afternoon , Good Evening and as always Good Viewing I will see you all again at the movies.

  1. I liked this one a lot more than the other sequels but I will admit that it still could have been a lot better. It was great to have these characters all back together again though and I think that’s where the film really worked for me. Total nostalgia. Good review Justin.
