21 Jump Street Aims High

Hello again my friends it my favourite time of the week and that is the time that i get to go out to see a movie to review so that i my write about it for all of you. This weeks review is on the new action comedy 21 Jump Street starring Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum which is based on the old 1980's TV drama which had originally starred Johnny Depp and Richard Grieco  and follows the antics of two young cops Schmidt ( Hill ) and Jenko (Tatum ) who themselves were former high school classmates from different social backgrounds one was a jock while the other was a nerd but eventually became police officers and best friends. While botching their first ever bust as police officers Schmidt and Jenko are reassigned to an old undercover program from the 80's which puts young undercover cops in the high schools to infiltrate drug rings and in this case it is a new synthetic drug that has appeared. The two cops are given the cover of being two brothers and quickly find out how different high school is since they were teenagers with tons comedic results all the while trying to find out who is supplying the students who are dealing the drugs . This movie while I had my doubts about it seeing it based on yet another old TV show turned into a movie did surprise me especially the fact that they took an old television crime drama and turned into an action comedy with very successful results. The comedy in this movie was well written and had a lot of moments in it where you were laughing so hard that you were crying and Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum made a perfect comedy duo . It did have some goofy moments in it but you still couldn't help but laugh as it did work in this movie and it even had a guest appearance by Johnny Depp in the movie which was pretty funny . All in all I was not disappointed when I left the theatre tonight and give this movie a 7.5 on the Justin Scale of movies because it did it's job to entertain me which also means I would say "Pick-It" and go see it especially if you are in need of good laugh and a bit nostalgic to see an old TV show upgraded for the big screen you will not be disappointed. Well there you have it another  week another review so it is time to call it a wrap on this review and as always Good Morning  , Good Afternoon  , Good Evening and as always Good Viewing I will see you all again at the movies.
