The Vow Keeps It's Promise

Good evening my friends  you are in for a treat because tonight I am giving you two movie reviews as I went and saw back to back movies at the theatre tonight . The first in line to review tonight is the love story called The Vow staring Channing Tatum as Leo a everyday average guy who has his own recording studio and Page played by Canadian sweetheart Rachel McAdams a former law student turned artist who meet , fall in love and get married . But their love is tested when they are in a car accident which causes Page to lose all memory of her life with Leo and can only remember up to being in law school . Keeping his promise to always love her no matter what Leo strives to help Page get her memories back and make her fall in love with him all over again. Along the way Page reconnects with her family who she hadn't talked to in 5 years all the while struggling to find her memories and find herself. This movie while some would say it was a sappy chick flick I found to be quiet heart warming and genuine as it is based on a true story and made you really feel for the struggle both characters were going through from Page with her frustration to find out who she is and the memories that she lost and Leo who tries his hardest to help Page get her memories back and remember the love that they had before the accident which seemed just as hard on both characters. Channing Tatum gave a good performance who didn't seem so stiff and one dimensional on screen as he sometimes comes across and you really felt sorry for his character Leo and Rachel McAdams gave a pretty good performance as well of some one trying to regain all the memories they lost and being given a second chance to close old wounds . This movie also starred Sam Neil (Jurrasic Park ) and Jessica Lange ( Cape Fear) as Pages parents who try to get back the daughter they once had before she left 5 years ago. This movie works for me on a few level because of these reasons the first being that it is based on a true story and just isn't pure fiction , the second reason being that you would have to look into your heart and connect with the characters which was easy to do and ask yourself what would you do and how would you feel if this happened to you , the third being that maybe I am just an old fashioned romantic but the movie touched my heart. On the Justin Scale I would give this movie a 7 for it's heart and warmth and I would again have to say "Pick-It" if you want a movie that has some truth to it and has makes you feel for the characters but if it is not your thing than to each their own but guys if you do take your significant other to see this movie you just might end up liking it too. Now it is time to call it a wrap on this review and work on my next one so Good Morning , Good Afternoon , Good Evening and as always Good Viewing I will see you all again at the movies .
