Good evening my friends it is time for another of my home video picks for the month and this month's pick is the Oscar award winning film" As Good as It Get's" starring Jack Nicholson as romance novelist Melvin Udall who also happens to have extreme obsessive compulsive disorder and not quite the romantic in real life as he writes about. Helen Hunt , Greg Kinnear , and Cuba Gooding jr costar in this funny and heart warming movie as well . When Melvin Udall a romance novelist with extreme obsessive compulsive disorder who has a temper and no venal filter when he speaks is forced to take care of his homosexual next door neighbour artist Simon's little dog after Simon ( Kinnear) is is beaten while walking in on a group of men robbing his apartment it turns Melvin's world upside down and start changing him for the better. As Melvin start's to change for the better and actually shows he has a human side he also starts to confront his real feelings for Carol ( Hunt) the waitress at the restaurant in which Melvin always eats at and always takes his order but not all his verbal abuse as sheDirected by James challenges him and earns his respect and admiration. This movie directed by James L. Brooks is a true classic and by far one Jack Nicholson's most beloved characters as he has delivered us so many great characters in his storied career , the movies humour and heart truly make it a must see again and again. It rates a 9 on the Justin Scale of must see movies and will always be a "Pick-It" on the "Pick-It Or Flick-It" rating for viewing.
