Dragon Tattoo Leaves A Lasting Impression

Hello there my friends it is that time again for another one of my reviews of recent movies and this weeks selection is the David Fincher film based on the best selling novel The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo starring Daniel Craig , Rooney Mara and Christopher Plummer . When disgraced journalist Mikael Blomkvist 's career and reputation is at an end he is approached by Henrik Vanger  to solve the mystery of who killed his niece Harriet who went missing 40 years ago , Blomkvist ( Craig) accepts under the guise that he is there to write Henriks (Plummer) memoirs as to not arouse suspicion among the rest of his family who one of them may be responsible for Harriets disappearance. While researching this he is aided by Lisbeth Salander( Mara) a computer hacker and excellent research assistant with her own set of deep seeded personal and psychological problems but is very effective in her job. Along the way secrets are uncovered and truths revealed that were all tangled in a web of murder , rape , lies and deception. This movie was very interesting in it's development of the character's and their relationship to one another and there importance in the story , the character's were well done and believable. The story was enthralling and exciting to watch with all it's twists and turns which kept you guessing until the end and didn't let go but yet the movie was quite graphic in nature but was needed in order to make this movie work which is why it has a 18A rating. This movie was quite possibly one of the best that I have seen that was released in December of 2011 and rightfully deserves a 9.5 on the Justin scale of movie's and is definitely a "Pick-It" film if you don't mind some of the graphic content it contains for the reasons of great acting , great story and great characters. This is the highest I have ever given a movie and this one rightfully deserves it even though I have never read the book I did enjoy the movie and have heard from people who have seen the movie and read the book that the movie follows the book pretty closely. So there you have it my review on The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo hopefully you get chance to see it and as always it is time to call it a wrap so Good Morning , Good Afternoon, Good Evening and as always Good Viewing I will see you all again at the movies.
