The Towering Inferno Still Burns Hot After All These Years !




Hello my friends todays review is one that most people have seen and if you haven't than you definitely should it is the the Irwin Allen classic The Towering Inferno . The movie based on two books The Glass Inferno and The Tower , made in 1974 and starring Steve McQueen as fire chief O'Hallorhan, Paul Newman as architect Doug Roberts, William Holden as James Duncan the man who built the built the building , Faye Dunaway as Susan Franklin , Doug Roberts girlfriend and an impressive list of a supporting cast which includes Fred Astaire , Susan Blakely, Richard Chamberlain, Jennifer Jones, O. J Simpson,Robert Vaughn and Robert Wagner. On the eve of the opening ceremony celebration of the  worlds tallest building known as The Glass Tower in SanFrancisco architect Doug Roberts discovers faulty wiring after an electrical flare up in a systems control panel in the basement and soon discovers that that type of wiring runs throughout the entire building . A fire breaks out in a storage closet on the 81st floor of the 138 story building it becomes difficult for the firefighters to put out and starts burning out of control causing gas explosion's that collapse stairwells and trapping many people on the top floor at party to celebrate the buildings grand opening. Floor by floor the fire burn out of control quickly making it's way to the top floor all the while the firefighters are battling the fire to try and stop it . This movie which runs at about 2hrs and 44mins is a dramatic thrill ride from beginning to end , one that keeps you enthralled throughout the entire movie . A true recommendation for any movie lover to watch , the definitive disaster movie this movie rates a 10 on the Justin scale of movies and is a true Pick-It . So if you are staying in this evening and watching a movie in the comfort of your home you may want to watch this one .
