The Muppets Still Make Us Laugh

It's time to play the music, it 's time to light the lights , it's time to meet the muppets on the big screen tonight yes that's right The Muppets are back on the big screen to entertain a whole new generation and make the rest of us feel like a kid again . Jason Segel ( Forgetting Sarah Marshall , I love You Man and How I Met Your Mother) writes the screenplay and stars as Gary who along with his brother Walter who is a Muppet go to Los Angeles with Gary's girlfriend Mary played by Amy Adams ( Enchanted , The Fighter) and visit the Muppet studio's only to find out that it has been bought by the evil oil tycoon Tex Richman played by Chris Cooper ( The Bourne Identity, American Beauty) who plans to tear down the studio's to drill for oil on the land. So they go to find Kermit and the rest of The Muppets to put on a telethon to save the studio. This movie was both funny and fun to watch and brought back so many memories of when I was a kid and how much I loved The Muppet show , sure it had some cheesy songs but they were enjoyable along with the a couple of some old Muppet favourite like Manamanna , The Muppet show theme song and the timeless classic The Rainbow Connection. This movie also had celebrity cameo's by Whoopi Goldberg, Selena Gomez , Neil Patrick Harris, James Carville , Sarah Silverman, Jack Black, Zach Galifanakis , and Jim Parson's ( Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory) which just shows how much The Muppets are loved still to this day. This movie is a great family film and for both young and old a movie that shows us not to forget about the past and the kid in us all . I give this movie a 9 on the Justin Scale for one simple reason and that is that it such a fun movie to watch and it makes you smile and lets face it in this world full of cynics and critics it is nice to just smile, laugh and as the Muppets always do sing. So you can probably guess that what "Pick-it-or Flick-It" it is going to be and that is "Pick-It' take your kids to see it or go see it if you don't have kids and you never know you just might start to sing along to Rainbow Connection. There you have it my review of The Muppets so Good Morning , Good Afternoon,  Good Evening and as always Good Viewing I will see  all next time at the movies.
